Biography Project and Speeches

The class is beginning a new BIG project


File folder Biographies

This project will incorporate reading, writing, and Social Studies.


Each student will complete a biography on a person that was relevant during the American Revolution or during the beginning of Massachusetts.

1 -This report will contain important information on the person.
2 -There will be a timeline containing a minimum of 8 important dates.
3 -The students will create a portrait of their person.
4 -Each student will write an "Important Poem"
5 -Finally each author will read their report during our celebration.
Students may dress up as the person they are doing the biography on but do not have to.

Buddies - Our class has been spending time one or two Fridays a month with our kindergarten buddies. Pajama day was fun when they joined us!

For homework this week, 1/25/16
Please spend at least 15 minutes each evening on Reading Eggspress.
Be sure to do the English lesson and then move on to reading comprehension.

In addition try to spend about at least 15 minutes each evening on Dreambox.

Please also try to read at least 20 minutes each night.
