What we are thankful for

I charged the students to come up for 10 things they are thankful for and why

Here are a few of my favorites

1) I am thankful for women- they make people.

2) I am thankful for my books because they make me smarter and keep me occupied when it's a good book.

3) I am thankful for love because it brings us together.

4) I am thankful for books because they bring me into cool worlds.

5) I am thankful for my pets because they love me and give me kisses.

6) I am thankful for ice cream because it is good.

7) I am thankful for veterans because they risk their lives for us.

8) I am thankful for farmers because they grow food and work really hard.

9) I am thankful for this writing because it helps me realize what I am thankful for.

10) I am thankful for my teacher because she got us to be smarter.

11) I am thankful for my dog because she protects my family and me. Also when I'm sad she makes me happy.

Giving Thanks

I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a happy, healthy and peaceful break.
I am grateful for the trust you put in me each day to care for and be with your children.
To me my work is a gift and it is given on a daily basis by each of you.

New To Wish List

Image result for sad faceUnfortunately over the past few weeks 2 of our yoga balls have been popped. If anyone who has a small yoga ball they would be interested in donating to the room it would be put to good use!

We are also looking for child sized headphones for use with computers.

Thirdly as always we are looking for fine lined white board markers and disinfectant wipes.

The class is working hard on completing their narrative writing in anticipation of our celebration on Thursday November 17, 2016 at 2:00. It promises to be a fun and entertaining celebration!

Recently in math, we had student led math groups that were very successful!

Some students are having a hard time logging into Dreambox.
The common mistake is putting the student's username and password in the box that says EDUCATOR & PARENT LOGIN:
If you have put information in this box you need to erase your computer history (in settings) and click on SES-Zadworny first. Second put in the username and password.

Supporting our ideas!

The class has begun learning about how to write a paragraph. We have learned about the Triple Whammy Paragraphs.

Triple Whammy Paragraph

What have we been learning about in school?

Right now in school we are learning about writing paragraphs, multiplication and division, and how to be a good reader. I really like learning about writing paragraphs. Multiplication is the same thing as repeated addition and division is the same thing as repeated subtraction. When you’re a good reader you read books like they’re gold. We hope to learn even more about writing paragraphs, multiplication and division, and being a good reader.

This is Mary Ann, Sean and Ryan’s mom, and I would like to invite you to meet up at Interskate 91 in Hadley on the evening of the last day of school, June 14.  It’s a Tuesday night, and on Tuesday, there is a special where, from 5:00 - 8:00, admission, skate rental, and each game of laser tag are each only $2.  This isn’t a formal get together with any set time to meet or anything.  The plan is to show up whenever works for you, do what you want when you get there, leave when you’re ready, and hopefully run into a bunch of friends while you’re there.
