The class is participating in a poster contest about local government. We began reading about local government in our text book Massachusetts Our Home.Today Mr Thomas Fydenkevez came in and talked to the class about Sunderland's government. We began planning our posters. Each child had to pick one of the following statements
Local government is smart
Local government is clean
Local government is fun
Local government is helpful
Local government issafe
They are now going to create a poster illustrating the statement they choose. You will be getting a permission slip which you will need to sign allowing your student's poster to be submitted.
We are looking forward to a visit from meteorologist Brian Lapis next week. On Fridays we have been leaning about weather, clouds, and storms. He will help to enrich our current curriculum. I will then be introducing the possibility of another poster contest. This contest is to depict weather in New England. The winners will be printed in the Daily Hampshire Gazette.
