Your child should bring home a homework packet containing 4 math sheets and 4 grammar sheets. The class will be practicing multiplication and division facts as well as reviewing grammar skills.
The class as a whole needs to be working on their basic math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division 1-12). Having a fluent command of these facts will serve them well throughout their math education!
We have covered nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs in class so far. Prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections will be introduced in the coming week.
Figurative language will also be a new concept introduced this week. We will work with similes, metaphors, idioms, onomatopoeia, alliteration and hyperbole.
