Hello 3 Z families,
I am writing to ask you to take a moment to look around your homes and look for any mechanical/electrical houseware items you have that might be broken (hair dryer, mixer, clock, coffee maker, toaster, etc.). We will be doing a take apart science project later in the year.
Students will use tools to take apart an everyday houseware to discover what is inside.
Students will explore,organize and document the parts of their object.
Students will select the most unique part from their object to explore and consider its purpose,complexities and role within the system of the object.
We will also be looking for tools: Screwdrivers: flat and phillips head of various sizes, wrenches and pliers, hammers, plastic gloves and gallon ziplock bags.
